Regional flat-rate carrier MetroPCS has announced the addition of more service areas and a new plan offering in separate press releases today.
Residents in the Flint, Lansing, Saginaw and Bay City, Michigan areas can now take advantage of MetroPCS products and services with one corporate location in Flint and one in Lansing, with 89 authorized dealers serving the combined areas.  The carrier also announced in its 3rd quarter conference call that it planned to launch service in the New York City area beginning in 2009.
MetroPCS has also added to its coverage footprint by expanding unlimited access to 300 additional markets for $5 a month on $30, $35, and $40 plans with $45 and $50 plans receiving the additional access at no extra charge.
